Bosch CET4-20W Air Compressor

Bosch CET4-20W Air Compressor

The vertically angled twin hotdog tanks of the Bosch CET4-20W Air Compressor distinguish it from other compressors. This design results in a better center of gravity which, together with two 10-inch pneumatic tires, makes moving the compressor around your garage or jobsite almost effortless. It is complemented by the folding tubular frame that has the dual function of protecting the tanks when folded down, and of serving as a steering handle when raised.

The angled tanks have a capacity of four gallons of compressed air, and at 100 PSI, they deliver a CFM of 4.9. Compressed air is generated by a contractor-grade pump that is lubricated with oil. A filter assures that air drawn into the pump for compression is clean and dry. With the oil-lube, there is less friction among the piston, cylinder, crankshaft, and other moving parts of the pump resulting in a cooler operation.

The pump is activated by a two-horsepower, two-pole induction motor capable of speeds up to 3400 RPM. In spite of this speed, the motor is relatively silent with a decibel rating of 80, a sound level similar to that produced by a washing machine. In order to prevent blowing a fuse when cold, the Bosch CET4-20W Air Compressor is fitted with a cold start valve.

Bosch’s EZ Drain System is incorporated in the CET4-20W. This ensures that the tanks are thoroughly drained after use with just one ball valve. This is possible because of the connection of both tanks to the drain system.

A control panel is mounted between the tanks. This includes a gauge indicating air pressure in the tanks, another showing that of the air flowing out to your pneumatic tool, a regulator, and two couplers.
