Bosch CGT8-65W Gas Wheelbarrow Air Compressor
Intended for use in the field such as construction sites or in any place where there is no available electric power, the Bosch CGT8-65 Gas Wheelbarrow Air Compressor is powered by a robust gas-operated Honda GX200 motor. This activates an oil-lubed air pump to quickly fill the two air tanks.
The Honda motor is a 6.5-horsepower overhead valve (OHV) engine that runs at a speed of 3,200 RPM and 13.1 CFM at 100 PSI. The motor boasts of low noise, low emissions, and low vibration, yet it does not sacrifice power and efficiency.
A system of pulleys joined by a belt transmits power from the Honda engine to the air pump. The pulleys and belt are enclosed in a metal casing thus keeping fingers and garments from getting caught in them. With an adjustable tightener, adjusting belt tension is a breeze.
The air pump is constructed out of contractor-grade cast iron to assure its durability and long service life. Further assuring this is its oil that reduces friction among the moving parts of the pump and absorbs heat generated by the said friction. Apart from this, it also soaks up noise that comes from the vibrations of its various parts. The machine’s cold-start valve prevents blown fuses when starting the machine in very cold weather.
The tanks of the compressor are of the hotdog type and are oriented horizontally, resting on two beams perpendicular to them. The beams stand on rubber feet to prevent them from sliding on smooth hard surfaces. They also serve to absorb the normal vibrations of a running engine and pump. Specially designed handles are affixed to both ends of the tanks designed to make carrying the compressor convenient. With an EZ Drain system, you can simultaneously drain both tanks by turning a ball valve on the control panel.
Perched above the tanks is the platform where the control dials, gauges, and air outlet ports are mounted, providing an open and convenient access. It is also on this platform that the engine and pump are installed.
