With a maximum working pressure of 100 PSI and a two-gallon hotdog tank, the Campbell Hausfeld FP2048 Air Compressor is obviously designed for do-it-yourselfers and other consumers doing light work. This work includes brad nailing, stapling, air brushing, inflating, and air cleaning.
The air compressor is an oil-free pump, which means less maintenance and mess eliminating the need to periodically top it off with oil. It also means no oil drips to soil your work. It is powered by a single-phase motor that runs on standard 120 volts of electricity.
The design of the Campbell Hausfeld FP2048 Air compressor is ergonomic. It has a folding handle at the top which makes carrying this 21-pound machine convenient. This handle is attached to a black plastic shell that encloses the motor and pump. On the face of the shell are two easy-to-read gauges indicating the pressure inside the tank and that of the air flowing out through the air hose. The regulator is situated below these gauges along with the air valve.
All these rest atop the horizontal hotdog tank colored with the trademark blue of Campbell Hausfeld. The in turn stands on steel feet with rubber attachments to prevent slipping.
