DeWalt D55141 Oil-Free Air Compressor
Capable of moving 2.0 SCFM of air with a pressure of 90 PSI, the DeWalt D55141 Oil-Free Air Compressor can supply sufficient power to two finish nailers at the same time, making it the perfect machine to use when fastening moldings, frames, and wall panels, or when working with furniture, hobbies, and arts and crafts.
The machine has a single hotdog tank oriented horizontally with a capacity of 2.0 gallons, which can hold a maximum pressure of 150 PSI. Owing to this, the compressor can provide plenty of air to your nailers allowing them to shoot nail after nail before the motor kicks in to replenish the air in the tank. Recovery from a near-depleted tank to full capacity is also a quick procedure.
Weighing only 30 pounds, with dimensions of approximately 20″ W x 22″ D x 12″ H, it is easy to carry the compressor to the different work areas where it is needed. It is protected by a roll cage which doubles as the carrying handle.
The air pump runs without oil, thus generating clean air and making maintenance easy. It is activated by a motor with a power draw of only 8 Amps. This assures a quick and easy start-up as well as a reduction of the incidence of breaker tripping. Although oil-free, the compressor is a quiet machine emitting only 79 decibels, a level comparable to normal conversation between two people.
The control panel is mounted at the top, immediately to the back of the tank. It includes two gauges –one for the tank pressure and another for regulated pressure. In between them is the regulator which adjusts the volume of air released to your pneumatic tools. Two quick couplers are included for easy attachment of air hoses.
For a neat storage, and to avoid a dangling power cord while carrying, the DeWalt D55141 Oil-Free Air Compressor has a cord wrap on its left side.
