DeWalt D55154 Heavy-Duty Air Compressor
Ideal for the installation of roofing materials, framing and trimming projects, and other finishing works on wood, the DeWalt D55154 Heavy-Duty Air Compressor delivers compressed air at a pressure of 90 to 125 PSI flowing at 4.0 SCFM. A 1.1 horsepower induction motor coupled with a durable direct drive oil-lubricated air compressor pump assures that air pressure is maintained at the above-mentioned levels. The pump is made of cast iron thus further contributing to a long service life. As a direct drive, it eliminates fan belts and thus the need to periodically replace them.
The D55154 features two horizontal hotdog tanks with a capacity of 4 gallons, while the control panel is installed in between them. This includes the tank and regulated pressure gauges. Between these gauges is the high flow regulator knob controlling the pressure of the air delivered to your pneumatic tools. On the left side of the panel is a pair of universal quick couplers allowing you to operate at least two separate tools. With multi-pass couplers you can increase this even further.
At the top is a loading panel equipped with ribs for strength and positioning holes. You can carry as much 100 lbs. of your gear on it as you move the compressor around your work area. You can use cords to secure your load anchoring them to the positioning holes. A telescopic U-shaped handle attached to the frame and running though the loading panel is used for pulling, or pushing, and maneuvering the compressor. Ten-inch pneumatic wheels make transporting virtually effortless.
A roll-cage frame is wrapped around the motor and pump for protection. The oil pump is accessible making oil change convenient while a ball drain valve allows complete draining of air from the tanks. A cord wrap is included in the frame for a neat power cord storage.
