GMC Syclone 6310 Air Compressor

Under license from General Motor Corporation, the GMC Syclone 6310 Air Compressor reflects the same qualities that drivers of GMC trucks, vans, pick-ups, and SUVs are familiar with. It is a compact machine that delivers sufficient power to run your compressed air-activated nail guns, sanders and grinders, wrenches and ratchets, as well as paint sprayers and airbrushes.
The GMC Syclone is approximately 24 inches tall, also 24 wide, and 13 deep. It consists of a horizontally oriented hotdog tank whose one end rests on two large wheels with rubber tires that facilitate moving from one work area to another. The other end has a fixed stand with a rubber pad fastened to its foot. It is made of high quality steel that assures it durability, and has a capacity of 6.3 gallons.
A motor that is rated at 1 HP running with a peak of 2 HP is seated atop the tank. It has a maximum RPM of 1,680 and runs on 115 volts of electric power at 60 Hz. This runs the air pump that compresses and stores air in the steel tank.
The air pump is an oil-free type making it perfectly suited for working with applications requiring clean air. This means the GMC Syclone can be used in food, chemical, and even pharmaceutical work. With the motor’s support, the pump can fill the 6.3-gallon tank in about two minutes at a maximum pressure of 116 PSI. At this rating, the compressor can operate most pneumatic tools used by do-it-yourselfers for their weekend projects.
In spite of the lack of oil to help dampen some of the noise generated by the air compressor, it runs very quietly at a level of 60 decibels. This is comparable to the sounds of a normal conversation.
The machine delivers 3.80 CFM of compressed air at 40 PSI, but this is reduced to 2.35 CFM at 90 PSI.
