Hitachi EC119SA Air Compressor

Hitachi EC119SA Air Compressor

Powered with a 2.5 horsepower 15-Amp induction motor, the Hitachi EC119SA Air Compressor is able to deliver compressed air at high pressures without generating excessive noise. These types of motors are generally considered tougher than other types of electric motors and thus the compressor is expected to be able to run for extended periods.

The motor provides power to an oil-lubricated air pump with large fins keeping it cool while operating. Further keeping temperatures down is a large integrated metal cooling fan. Inside the pump are oversized bearings which smooth out the operations and movements of its internal components.

Operating at its maximum RPM of 3,450, the compressor delivers 5.3 CFM at 40 PSI and 4 CFM at 100 PSI. Maximum pressure is rated at 135 PSI at which point the motor shuts itself down. When air pressure dips to 105 PSI, it comes back to life again quickly refilling the tanks within 14 seconds. With a protected pressure switch, you are assured that this cycle will continue without interruptions.

Two hotdog tanks which have a capacity of four gallons are stacked on one side of the compressor. Conveniently located on the lower section of each tank is a drain ball valve for releasing unused air. Covering the tanks is the control panel where the tank pressure gauge, regulator dial, regulator gauge, and two air output lines are mounted.

The roll cage design of the Hitachi EC119SA Air Compressor protects the motor and pump. It is equipped with a carry handle wide enough for two hands for those times when you may need help carrying it up a flight of stairs. It includes a cord wrap where the electric cord can be wound when the machine is not in use. Standing on rubberized feet, it is protected from shocks and vibrations.
