Hitachi EC79 Air Compressor
Combining portability and power, the Hitachi EC79 Air Compressor is ideal for do-it-yourselfers as well as contractors. An excellent air delivery system coupled with a large tank ensures the smooth powering up of your pneumatic tools such as air nailers and ratchets, which require short bursts of compressed air, as well as sanders, polishers, drills, which use a continuing airflow.
An induction motor with a 2 peak horsepower and 1 running activates the pump. It is a low draw motor using only 13 Amps thus reducing breaker tripping. The pump does not require oil making it virtually maintenance-free. This also makes it ideal for finishing jobs as you do not have to contend with oil drips that can soil finished work.
An integrated control panel protects control components. Two gauges, one for the air pressure inside the tank and another for the released air, are conspicuously positioned for easy reading. The motor and pump are totally covered with a shroud to protect them from bumps and to prevent you from accidentally touching them while the air compressor is running.
At the bottom of the compressor is the air tank. It is of a pancake shape and has a capacity of 6 gallons. It stands on four posts with rubber feet to prevent slipping.
The Hitachi EC79 Air Compressor has a maximum pressure of 135 PSI and can deliver an airflow of 2.7CFM at 90 PSI. Included with it are a ΒΌ-inch coupler and a ball-valve tank drain.
Colored in black and decorated with green highlights, the air compressor is not only efficient but also attractive. It measures 16″ W x 16″ D x 22″ H and weighs 44 pounds.
