Industrial Air ILA3606056 Air Compressor
Designed for professionals, the Industrial Air ILA3606056 Air Compressor is a heavy-duty machine well-suited for all-day work in the normally severe and tough environment of a construction site or automotive repair shop.
The compressor consists of an upright hotdog tank that is bolted to the floor on three legs for stability. Perched atop the tank are the motor and air pump.
The air pump is an oil-lubricated twin-cylinder machine that compresses air in two stages. The result is that air is compressed into higher PSI levels. The pump is made of cast iron, and indeed its crankcase is made in one piece. The cylinders are thermally stable, which means they will not degrade in the face of high temperatures.
The head and valve plate, however, are made of aluminum; while the reed valves are made of strong Swedish stainless steel. Ball bearings on the crankshaft are automotive style.
A robust 3.7-horsepower induction motor powers the air pump. It is a spread voltage motor enabling it to run on voltages as low as 208 and as high as 240 simply by plugging it into the electric outlet, without the need to change the wiring system. A belt drive transmits torque from the motor to the pump through a belt drive. The belt is attached to the air pump’s 12-inch cast iron balanced flywheel.
Air is stored is the vertical 60-gallon ASME tank. With this capacity, the motor does not need to kick-in too frequently. Nevertheless, enough air is always in the tank to power your pneumatic tools, such as you nail guns, impact wrenches, ratchets, or spray guns.
Operating pressure is 125 to 155 PSI. Airflow at 40 PSI is 13.4 CFM, while at 90 PSI the figure is 11.5.
