Makita AC310H High-Pressure Air Compressor

The combination of a durable and efficient four-pole induction motor running at 1,720 RPM for greater displacement with lower noise, and a highly functional dual-head or two-stage air pump enables the Makita AC310H High-Pressure Air Compressor to generate compressed air with pressures of up to 400 PSI.
With the low amp draw of the 2.5-horsepower motor, circuit breaker trips and voltage drops are minimized during kick-ins.
The air pump of the AC310H is oil-free, which means that air coming from it is clean and can be used for delicate applications. It also means that you do not need to perform tedious and sometimes dirty maintenance work like the changing oil and oil filters.
The highly compressed air is stored in a horizontally mounted hotdog type high-pressure tank with a capacity of 1.6 gallons. This is the equivalent of a conventional 5-gallon tank storing compressed air at 120 PSI. Owing to its smaller size, however, it is more portable.
Air is drawn from the tank via four universal couplers. Two of these are designed for conventional nailers that run at 90 PSI with an airflow of 3.6 CFM, while the other two are for high-pressure nailers with an operating pressure of 300 PSI and airflow of 2.7 CFM.
The couplers, control knobs, and gauges are mounted on a panel just above the tank. The knobs regulate the flow of air to the pneumatic tools through air hoses, while one of the gauges indicate the air pressure inside the tank and the other two measure that of the outgoing air.
The motor, air pump, and pressure tank are protected from the often harsh environments of construction sites by a roll cage with a kick plate. Rubberized bumpers are also installed to absorb the shock of impacts.
