North Star Honda GX160 Air Compressor Model 459211

Designed for contractors who may need to work in the field where they have no access to electric power, the North Star Honda GX 160 Air Compressor Model 459211 is powered by a 4.8 horsepower gasoline engine from Honda. This is an air-cooled, four-stroke, OHV engine with a single cylinder that can generate sufficient torque to activate the compressor’s air pump. It has a low-oil shut down feature as a safeguard against engine seizure.
Engine power is transferred to the pump via a belt drive consisting of the motor pulley, belt, and flywheel. This is completely shrouded with a durable belt guard to prevent accidental contact with it. The pump is a single-stage type with a solid cast iron cylinder thus guaranteeing a long service life. The pump head, on the other hand, is made of aluminum for a quicker dissipation of heat.
Compressed air generated by the pump is stored in twin tanks with a capacity of 8 gallons at a maximum pressure of 130 PSI. Airflow is rated at 13.2 CFM at 90 PSI, and 12.7 CFM at 130 PSI. Liquid-filled gauges provide accurate readings of stored and released air.
Before air is delivered to your pneumatic tools, it goes through an aftercooler that dries it and improves its quality. This results in less wear for your tools. Also, a precise pressure regulator accurately controls the amount and pressure of air released into the air hose avoiding excessive pressure that could damage the tools.
The twin tanks are laid horizontally below the engine and air pump. In between these tanks, at one end, a large rubber wheel is installed. On the other end are two handles, one on each tank. These facilitate moving the compressor
