Porter Cable C6110 Air Compressor
The large tank of the Porter Cable C6110 Air Compressor is positioned vertically to minimize the machine’s footprint and storage space requirements. The air compressor stands on two rubber wheels and two feet. With the help of a tubular hand grip wrapped in cushion, it can thus be moved around your work area like a hand truck.
The tank has a capacity of 25 galloons of compressed air at a maximum pressure of 150 PSI. As plenty of air tools operate between 70 and 120 PSI, the C6110’s 150 PSI is an advantage over most other compressors that generate and store air at 125 PSI. Run time is extended allowing you to accomplish more work in between refilling. Cut in pressure is 120 PSI thus keeping air pressure in the tank high at all times. This provides more than sufficient power to activate your pneumatic tools, even those that require higher pressures.
At the top of the bright red tank is a 2-horsepower capacitor-start induction motor that runs an oil-free air pump. This pump produces clean air suitable for spray painting and other applications involving food, medicines, and other chemicals. As it is oil-free, the C6110 requires only minimum maintenance and eliminates the possibility of soiling your work with spilled oil.
A HighFloSM air regulator with a push-to-connect coupler is mounted at the top of the tank along with two gauges. One of these monitors the air pressure inside the tank, while the other indicates the pressure of the airflow from the tank to the pneumatic tool. Airflow is rated at 7.7 SCFM at 40 PSI. This is decreased to 5.4 SCFM at 90 PSI.
