Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow Air Compressor

Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow Air Compressor

Intended as an inflation device, the Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow Air Compressor does not have a tank but instead pumps compressed air directly into your tires, sports balls, air beds, rafts, inflatable tents, and kiddie pools.

The compressor features a 12-volt, 0.25 horsepower motor that draws electricity directly from a car’s batteries using supplied crocodile clips. The cigarette lighter socket cannot be used because the motor draws as much as 30 amps, while lighter sockets only have a fuse of 15 amps. Using them would either melt the contacts or blow the fuse. The motor is oil-less and thus does not require intensive maintenance.

The pump can compress air up to a maximum pressure of 150 PSI which has an airflow rated at 2.54 CFM. At this rate, the Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow Air Compressor can inflate an average-sized car tire in about 2.5 minutes.

Weighing only 10.25 pounds it is ideal for 4 x 4 enthusiasts who drive their trucks and SUVs in all kinds of terrain that may require them to deflate their tires for better performance. When driving through sand dunes or mud, for instance, drivers often resort to deflating their tires. This results in a wider tire surface area where vehicle weight is distributed thus minimizing the possibility of getting bogged down in the sand or mud. When they get back on paved roads, however, they would need to re-inflate their tires.

The Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow Air Compressor comes with power cord 10 feet in length, a 16-feet coiled quick-release air hose, built-in pressure gauge, and the crocodile clips. A black carrying bag is thrown in as a bonus.
