Senco PC0968 Air Compressor
Measuring only 15″ W x 13.5″ H x 16″ D, the Senco PC0968 Air Compressor is definitely one of the smallest air compressors in the market. Perhaps the only smaller compressors are those that are limited to inflating tires or air furniture.
In spite of its compact design, the PC0968 delivers its maximum output of 135 PSI in a mere 82 seconds, and that starts from zero. Compressed air is stored in twin hotdog tanks stacked on one side of the machine. These have a combined capacity of 2.5 gallons. A pressure gauge sits right next to the upper tank, while a regulator and outlet pressure gauge is mounted on the side.
The compressor pump is an oil-less type which means that it is a low maintenance equipment eliminating constant monitoring of running time, and messy draining and replacement of oil. It is a direct drive pump that does away with fan belts and pulleys.
The compressor is powered by a 1.5 horsepower induction motor that runs quietly. It has an electric drawdown of only 0.8 amps, thus it reduces, if not totally eliminates, any possibility of tripping the circuit breaker. A cold start valve is incorporated with the compressor to allow quick and easy start-ups even during the cold seasons.
Weighing only 38 pounds, it is easy carrying the compressor to where the work is. A rubber handle on its tubular frame provides a non-slip hold that is both secure and comfortable.
