Senco PC1131 Electric Air Compressor

Senco PC1131 Electric Air Compressor

Featuring twin hotdog tanks, with one stacked on top of the other, having a total capacity of 4.3 gallons and a maximum pressure of 125 PSI, the Senco PC1131 Electric Air Compressor is capable of running tools used for framing and sheathing, roofing, decking, trimming, and finishing jobs. It is most suited for do-it-yourselfers who use their tools for their hobbies or short-term and medium-sized projects.

The compressor is powered by a single-phase electric induction motor with a peak horsepower rating of 2.5, while running horsepower is 2.0. It has a maximum amperage of 14 Amps at 115 volts, which is low enough not to trip circuit breakers. Maximum RPM is 3,400. In the unlikely event of an electrical overload, a protection switch turns the motor off which can only be restarted after activating a manual reset button. Cold weather starting is easy as the compressor is fitted with a cold start valve.

The pump is a direct drive type, eliminating the need for a chain or fan belt to transfer motor power. Its cylinder is made out of cast iron to assure durability. The block, however, is of cast aluminum to reduce weight and facilitate the dissipation of heat. The moving parts of the pump are oiled with a splash-design lubrication system thus ensuring a prolonged service life.

Pump-up time, from 0 – 125 PSI, is 67 seconds, while recovery time is 16 seconds. Cut-out is at 125 PSI while cut-in is 95. Airflow at 90 PSI is 3.4 CFM, while at 125 PSI the figure is 3.7. It runs a decibel level of 79 dBA.

Dimensions are 20″ x 14.5″ x 16.5″.
